Artist Statement
My sculptural practice delves into the intrinsic qualities of form, drawing inspiration from mathematical principles as the foundation of each piece. Echoing Allen Ginsberg’s idea that "things are symbols of themselves," my work focuses on the object’s essence. I invite viewers to engage with pure form, experiencing the interaction of light, texture, and space without the distraction of titles or imposed meaning. By stripping away extraneous content, my sculptures stand as objects of contemplation, where the beauty and complexity of geometry and materiality can resonate on their own terms.
My abstract geometric sculptures point toward deeper realities that can't be fully grasped through perception alone. The polyhedra and non-orientable forms I’m exploring are physical objects, but they gesture toward mathematical truths and universal concepts; embodiments of abstract ideas, the unseeable, and the complex structures underlying existence.
